Privacy Policy
This policy explains how [Legal entity name, registered address and country: to complete before launch] ("Buffett Economics", "we") handles personal data when you use buffetteconomics.com, subscribe to The Daily Moat (free) or buy the book. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect

We do not see or store your card details; payments are handled entirely by Dodo Payments. We do not sell personal data and we do not use advertising trackers.
Cookies and local storage
We use one strictly necessary cookie for signed-in subscribers. Your browser's local storage remembers your colour theme, whether you dismissed the sign-up card, and how you first arrived on the site (so a later sign-up can be attributed to a video). This information stays on your device unless you submit a form.
Who processes data for us
- Dodo Payments: payments, tax and invoicing, as merchant of record.
- Resend: sending email.
- Hostinger: website and database hosting.
- YouTube (Google): only if you press play on an embedded video; embeds use youtube-nocookie.com and load nothing until you click.
Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days (we keep a suppression record of your email so we never email you again). Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe with one click from any email. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its use, by emailing hello@buffetteconomics.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be emailed to subscribers.
