Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of buffetteconomics.com (the "site"), the e-book Value Investing: Zero to Hero (the "book") and The Daily Moat newsletter (the "newsletter"). By using the site or buying from us you agree to these terms.

1. Educational content only

Everything we publish, including the videos, the markets dashboard, the calculators, the book and the newsletter, is general educational content. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Read our disclaimer before relying on anything you find here.

2. No affiliation

Buffett Economics is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger's estate or Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Quotations are reproduced verbatim with their source for commentary and education. The cartoon depiction of Mr. Buffett is a caricature and does not speak for him.

3. Purchases and our payment partner

Orders are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and reseller for our products. Dodo Payments handles payment, billing, sales tax/VAT and invoicing, and its own buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Prices are shown in US dollars; applicable taxes are calculated and displayed at checkout before you pay.

The book

The book is a digital product delivered by email as a download link (PDF; an EPUB edition may be added later) immediately after successful payment. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to read the book on your own devices. You may not resell, share publicly, upload or redistribute the files. Download links expire and allow a limited number of downloads; you can request a new link from your account page.

The Daily Moat

The Daily Moat newsletter is free. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.

Sale prices

The launch sale price is available until the end date shown on the site, which is the same for every visitor. After that date the book is sold at its regular price of US$57, the reference ("was") price shown during the sale.

4. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. Free tools and data

The markets dashboard and calculators are provided free of charge and "as is". Market data comes from third-party sources, may be delayed or contain errors, and is shown for information only. Calculator results depend entirely on the inputs you choose and are illustrations, not valuations of any security.

6. Accounts and emails

We use one-time email links instead of passwords. Keep access to your email account secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to buy from us.

7. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload or scrape the site at a rate that harms it, bypass access controls on paid content, or use the site for anything unlawful.

8. Intellectual property

The site, videos, characters (including Bucky), illustrations, the book and the newsletter are our work and are protected by copyright. Quotations from third parties remain the property of their authors.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any investment losses or for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of [Country/state of the legal entity: to complete before launch], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
